The day before, Albina and Kosta had arrived by train, and I was looking forward to exploring the ria with them. We set out for the nearby Illa de Cortegada for an overnight anchorage.
Exploring the island the next morning, we learned quite a lot about the history of this fascinating little place before sailing on to A Pobra do Caramiñal. As usual, we had the wind on the nose, and naturally, some of the reefing lines were set incorrectly from my previous sail.
Kosta and I worked to sort things out, tacking back and forth through the narrow channel while Albina kept everything secure down below. Our efforts were rewarded with live traditional music and dance performances at our destination.
